Logistics Coordinator (f/m/d)

Job Description:

At the ASCO Deutschland GmbH site in Gedern, we are offering the following position, 1 year fixed term: Logistics Coordinator (m/f/d)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring and tracking production and delivery dates for internal work steps according to specifications (processing priorities)
• Coordinating processes in the areas of machining, finishing, and quality control (QC)
• Working closely with the planning department to update production and delivery dates according to the specified schedule
• Maintaining and processing relevant data (e.g., material bookings, date adjustments) in the ERP system to ensure data consistency and traceability (EMO & Mapics) in coordination
• Supporting the shipping team and material provision as backup in the event of staff shortages or increased workload
• Carrying out loading and unloading activities in compliance with applicable safety regulations and load securing
• Creating/checking shipping documents and handing over goods to carriers or internal transport services
• Accepting and checking items such as mail and parcel shipments for completeness and integrity
• Distributing incoming shipments to the responsible departments or employees
• Documenting and, if necessary, complaining about incorrect or damaged deliveries
• Organizing suitable means of transport for internal material flow
• Coordinating with purchasing or maintenance for the procurement, maintenance, or repair of transport trolleys
• Coordinating/emptying chip containers, core scrap, and packaging materials

Profile:

• Completed vocational training, e.g., as a warehouse logistics specialist
• Knowledge of logistics is an advantage
• Good PC skills (MS Office, ERP system)
• Forklift license
• Knowledge of English desirable
• Structured, solution-oriented, and efficient way of working
• Responsible approach to work, coupled with quality awareness and reliability
• Ability to work in a team

• Remuneration in accordance with the collective wage agreement for the metal and electrical industry in Hesse, including special payments stipulated in the agreement
• 35-hour working week
