Apprenticeship: technical product designer specializing in machine and system design

Job Description:

At the ASCO Deutschland GmbH site in Gedern, we are offering a position as of 01/09/2025: Apprenticeship as a technical product designer (f/m/d): Specialization in machine and plant design.

TRAINING FOCUS:

• Learning how to convert specifications into technical drawing sets (CAD) and documents using CATIA CAD software
• Maintenance and management of technical documents
• Carrying out subject-specific calculations
• Carrying out tests for the drafts created for prototypes
• Supporting the team in the design of components
• Getting to know the project business and quality guidelines
• Regular attendance at the vocational school Theodor-Litt-Schule in Gießen

Profile:

• Good secondary school leaving certificate/intermediate school leaving certificate or Abitur
• Good grades in mathematics, physics, computer science, German and English
• Understanding of technical interrelationships and good spatial awareness
• Motivation for a reliable and precise way of working
• Sociability and good verbal and written communication skills

Our Offer:

• Three and a half years of training in our development department, which deals with the conception, construction and detailed design of aircraft train parts on CNC machines
• Insight into the varied subject areas and technical work processes of an aviation supplier
• Working in various departments of the company, e.g. production, quality management, design and programming
• Apprenticeship pay including vacation and Christmas bonuses in accordance with the collective wage agreement for the metal and electrical industry in Hesse
• 35-hour week and 30 days of vacation per year
